National minimum wage to change

The National Minimum Wage  is increasing

NMW will increase by:
  •  19p, to £6.50 per hour for people aged 21 and over
  • 10p, to £5.13 per hour for people aged 18-20
  • 5p, to £2.73 per hour for apprentices under 19 or in their first year as an apprentice
  • 7p, to £3.79 per hour for people aged under 18
  These effects come in from 1 October 2014.
